Have you ever felt like the whole world was sitting on your shoulders? Have you ever just had one of those days? I'm sure you have, we all have!
Today was one of those days for me and when the enemy strikes, I turn to scripture! Thought I'd share what He spoke to me tonight:)
"Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be dismayed. Therefore I have set my face like stone, determined to do His will!
And I know that I will triumph.
He who gives me justice is near.
Who will dare to oppose me now?
Where are my enemies?
Let them appear!!
See, the Sovereign Lord is on my side!
Who will declare me guilty?
All my enemies will be destroyed like old clothes
that have been eaten by moths!"
(Isaiah 50:7-9)
Love it! Glad He's on my side!
Love ya'll! Strive to be Different!

My eyes have been opened this week to what humbling yourself and serving others really means. Alot of times our idea of helping someone in need is to hand them some money, or send a check in the mail, which in some cases is a good thing! But there are also times when people may need us emotionally, spiritually, or to physically get down in the trenches with them!
(Thanks mom:)

God tells us not to just love one another, but to love them more and more! ( 1 Thess 4:10)

I've recently had the opportunity to get down in the trenches with some people.... I'm not saying it's easy.....that you won't become emotionally drained, or physically worn out! But, I do know that if God asks you to do something, He will supply you with all the energy and strength you will need to complete it! Our God is an Awesome God!

I want to encourage you to keep your eyes open and to be ready for the opportunity to get down in the trenches with somebody. To really love on them...more and more and to show them the love of God!

Love ya'll! Strive to be Different!

"Dear children, let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions."
(1 John 3:18)

"Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days. Don's act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do." (Eph 5:17)

"Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay." (1 peter 4:8)

Around the House

Thought I'd share what's been going on around the house lately too! We've had alot going on and at times I want to think too much, but life is so sweet.... Even though I think I might lose my marbles at times, I love where God planted us at this point in our lives:)

I draw strength from His Word which says:

"My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing His work."
John 4:34

Nate had assignment in Mission Friends to make his own instruments and make up a song from scripture. Well, he had to get right on the song when he walked in the door that night he was so excited, but today we created these instruments:) One is a Bead Shaker and the other is a homemade "GUtar" aka guitar:) So thankful for his love of music.

Maggie had to make some too!

My purple Iris' are blooming beautifully this year

Daddy took the day off to take the family to the park for some much needed family time. On our way we were reminded of the fallen soldier that was killed for our country this past week from Petal. People from all over had lined up and down the highway holding their American Flags and showing their patriotism and waiting to pay their respects as the soldier passed through to his hometown. My heart was so broken for the family and all the men and women serving our country. When we got to the park, my eyes were filled with tears as I prayed in front of our flag at half staff. I thank God for our freedom and for those who lay down their lives for me daily.

It was such a beautiful day, even though very emotional.
The kids enjoyed playing and being out in the fresh air.

I love my babies!

The BEST dad ever!

Our playdough creations:)

I belive our alters have become dusty.....
I can't help but wonder what would happen
if we were to all kneel before the alter more.
If we were to pour out our souls and become broken before Him.......

Here before your alter
I am letting go of all I've held
Of every motive, of every burden
Everything's that of myself

And I just wanna wait on you, my God
I just wanna dwell on who you are

Here in your presence
I am not afraid of brokenness
To wash your feet with humble tears
I would be poured out until nothing's left

I just wanna wait on you, my God
I just wanna dwell on who you are

Holy, Holy, Holy is who you are

He's ALIVE!!

Women at the Tomb

"Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to see the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it. His face shone like lightening, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint."

"Then the angel spoke to the women, "Do not be afraid! he said, " I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead,

just as he said would happen.

Come see where his body was lying. And now go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee."

---Matthew 28:1-7

He's Alive! He's risen from the dead,

He's Alive!

Death hath no hold on our Savior!

Thank you Jesus, Thank you

Jesus the carrying of the Cross

Our Savior....

"Some of the governor's soldiers took Jesus into their

headquarters and called out the entire battalion.

They stripped him and put a

scarlet robe on him.

They made a crown of long, sharp thorns

and put it on his head,

and they placed a stick

in his right hand as a scepter.

Then they knelt before him in mockery,

yelling, "Hail! King of the Jews!"

And they spit on him and grabbed the stick and

beat him on the head with it.

When they were finally tired of mocking him,

they took off the robe and

put his own clothes on him again.

Then they led him away to be crucified." ---Matt 27:27-31

Jesus on the Cross

Our Savior......

"And they brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha.

They offered him wine drugged

with myrrh, but he refused it.

Then they nailed him to the cross.

They gambled for his clothes,

throwing dice to decide

who would get them."

"It was nine o'clock in the morning

when the crucifixion took place.....

At noon, darkness fell

across the whole land until three o'clock.

light from the sun was gone.

And suddenly, the thick veil hanging

in the Temple was torn apart.

Then Jesus shouted,

"Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!"

And with those words he breathed his last.

-----Luke 23:44-46

Our Savior......

Tomorrow is Friday, the day Jesus was led away

to be crucified on the cross for you and me.

I encourage you to take time to

thank Him for His sacrifice,

the ultimate sacrifice.

We are so unworthy......
