Today was Pill Packing Day at Providence
getting ready for the summer mission trip
to Nicaragua...
The kids had their own little fellowship
outside while the grown ups packed pills:)
The mission team usually takes enough medicines
to fill over 25,000 prescriptions!
Over the 3 days that the team is there,
they will see thousands of people who desperately
need medical care....
Friends, family, and church members come
together each year to pre pack the prescriptions
in order to save time in Nicaragua... in turn
it allows the medical team to see more patients
The people there will come from MILES around
in order to see a doctor and will stand in line for hours
to wait their turn...
After they see the doctor they are given a
prescription if needed and a
Bible in their own translation...
We had a couple of visitors while
we were pill packing today as well!
Mr. Eric found these two, cute little bunnies
outside the church where they were doing some work!
We think they may be lost, but we returned them
safely where they were found in hopes their mommy
might come back for them later?
I'm sure "someone" will be checking on them tommorow
just to make sure:)

Such a lonnnng day, but such a blessed day! I pray for the mission team that will be leaving in July for Nicaragua... I pray God will give them strength, patience, and unending love for the people there. I also pray for the peoples' lives that will be touched by them... I pray God will open the hearts and ears of the people to hear His Word and that lives will be forever changed and saved by His grace!

So Blessed....Love ya'll! Strive to be Different!

TaDaaa!!
Here's our finished Yarn Bowls!:)
Ummm.... I have a couple of suggestions
if you're ever interested in doing these...
1. Don't use a ton of glue -and-
2. I think the pattern I did turned out a little better
rather than just dumping the glue, soaken gobs of string on the bowl...
But, hey, we had fun doing them, that's all that matters, right?!:)
(By the way, I would think pre-teen
and teenage girls would LOVE this craft!)

Creative and Inspiring, huh?:)

Mine dried really nicely and is pretty sturdy...
Fun Stuff!
Love ya'll!

Another Beautiful, Spring Day...
You never know what we're going to get into....
This morning we decided to try our hand at making
these adorable "yarn" bowls that were
"supposed" to be sooo much fun for the
kiddo's to make!:)
Well..... it started out that way....

Maggie loved dumping the whole bottle

of glue it calls for....Then we prepared our bowls

and our eager little hands got started...

Looking gooood.....
And, 10 minutes in.....that's about it....:)
Maggie was "tired of all this gooey mess on her hands,"
and Nate, well, he's a boy.... He's done.....:)
They had more fun hiding the Easter Eggs
I had gotten down today around the house!
S0, for the next hour and a half I enjoyed finishing
our bowls...
I tried not to "finish" theirs too much...
I do want them to be proud of their own work, but
momma had to step in a "little" bit to make sure they
would be sturdy and hold up when they dried:)
Here's our bowls drying!
I'll post tomorrow and let you see how they turned out!
After a lonnnng day of mowing grass and playing in the sun,
these two ended their day with some old fashion FUN!!
To be young again...
No cares in the World....
playing the day away...
Just being a kid...
God is Good!
Thank you for my Children Lord,
and Thank you for the Beautiful Sunshine!

"If you think you are standing strong, be careful, for you, too, may fall into the same sin!"
1 Cor 10:12
I have learned not to judge...
(and I didn't learn this the easy way I might add!)
I've learned that this world we live in is full of sin...
and as Christians, we have everything coming against us.
Why? Because this world is not our home! Our home is with the Lord! (And Praise God, one day, He will come for us and we will be with Him again!)
But, until that day, we have to protect ourselves
against the evils and sins of this world.
How do we do that?
You have to spend time with the Lord "DAILY"
in order to fight these battles!
Praying, reading His Word (Daily),
having Faith and Hope in Him,
and relying solely on His strength
is the only way to win victory over our struggles!
So many of us try and think we can do it on our own...
We "think" we're strong enough to fight these battles on our own because we "know" the Lord,
He lives in us, we're good people....
shouldn't that be enough?!
That's when sin creeps in.....
When we try to do things and live life on our own....
We let our guard down.
The truth is, God made us for a relationship with Him.
To live and rely fully on Him.
If we're not spending time with Him "daily" in His word
and guarding ourselves with prayer,
that's when we're giving sin the power to creep in.
We can't afford to do that...
Sin and struggle are waiting to pounce on our lives,
we've got to be ready....
I love ya'll! I pray you'll take a moment to really examine your relationship with Him...
Put your armour on and Stand Firm!
Walk with Jesus, Daily...

Rainy Day Bead Bowls

What better way to pass a rainy day
than to do a fun craft!
The kids and I had a ball making these
cute, bead bowls!
Easy to make and loved the results!

Maggie and Nate chose a square shape and I did an oval:)

Simply use oven safe bowls
coat with cooking oil all the way up the sides:)
Then layer the beads around the shape of the bowl!
The beads cling to the oil nicely.
Cook at 350 degrees until they start to melt....
(about 20 min) you have to be a little patient kiddo's!:)
-then watch closely to see when you like the way they look
Then pull them out to cool!
After they cool....
Run cool water over the bowl
and they will pop right out!
Easy, fun craft to do with your little ones!
Enjoy!

Thank you Lord...
Thank you for such a beautiful afternoon....
a time to heal...
a time to rest...

As I face opposition and daily struggles, I find hope in the Lord. He will never leave me or forsake me! He is a forgiving God! A Deliverer and a Merciful God! I rest in knowing this and look forward to Him restoring my soul and using this time as a way of Growing me and strengthening my walk with Him.... My Hope is in the Lord!

I pray that you find hope and rest in Him as well. God loves YOU and is bigger than any difficult time that will come your way!

Love ya'll! Strive to be Different!

"Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. I said to the Lord, "You are my Master!"

All the good things I have are from you! The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them! Those who chase after other gods will be filled with sorrow. I will not take part in their sacrifices or even speak the names of their gods.

Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance!

I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.

I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me."
Psalm 16
