Striving to be Different
So, this is where we found Maggie when we came in this afternoon from the yard. She said that she was taking a bath like "Puffin?" on Max and Ruby.... You'll have to click on the video to watch:)
So, I thought I'd start a new post and share with ya'll all the silly things our kids say! It's never a dull moment around here, so I'm sure I'll have to update quite often:)
So, tonight we were at Cracker Barrel eating and Maggie very loudly exclaims, "Mom! I just now realized I'm eatin' Pig!" (Bacon) 4-8-12
As we were driving down the road today, Maggie says, "Mom, I have a secret and I don't think my mouth's gonna be able to hold it in there!":)
Tonight, before Maggie went to bed, she asked me "if those little washer mens really wash inside your mouth when you take mouthwash?" Apparently she's seen a commercial...?:)
Today we met 2 other "friends" of Maggies! They're NOT imaginary mind you, they are "Rachel's" brothers. Their names are Grits and Chickenrice. They've been hanging out at our house for a few days now, so I'm thinking they're here to stay!:) (11-5-11)
Explaining to our children the other day that it was time for our little chihuahua to get neutered... Nate asked me why in this world we were getting her "nurdered?" (12-5-10)
The other night, we were playing monopoly together for the first time and we were telling Nate how cool it was that he rolled doubles! Well, on Maggie's turn, she informed us that she had rolled "dumplins" too! She was so excited! (12-5-10)
Lastnight Maggie and I were sitting on the couch having, what I thought to be, a very sweet moment...just hugging and loving on eachother...When she looked up at me and said, "mom, I can see the hair in your "notches." (11-10-10)
I was reading Maggie her two bedtimes stories the other night as usual, when we got into a discussion about where Jesus lives. I was attempting to explain to her that He does live in heaven but He also lives in our hearts as well.....when she looked at me and asked, "we ate em'?" (10-25-10)
One evening we were driving home when Maggie noticed a change in the clouds...She asked us, "why did God break all the clouds?!" (10-2-10)
this morning Maggie came to my room to wake me up... she asked if I could go "turn her window light" on??? I love her....:) (1-21-11)
So, today Maggie walked over to see what I was doing to the bottom of my feet, when I explained I was, ummm...trying to get the "dead" skin off them... She looked at me and asked,
I'm a stay at home mom of two precious children who has a passion for raising her children to be "different" and not of this world.
I'm also very blessed to be a pastor's wife who loves the Lord and strives to care for and love her family in a way that God has called all women to do.
